  • How do you create your account in Google Keyword Planner?
  • How can you best utilize Google Keyword Planner?

What is Google Keyword Planner

Google Keyword Planner is a tool which helps you to find keywords related to any topic.

You can find out not only the keyword but also how often the keyword searched throughout the month, but you should know one thing in your mind that this tool is by AdWords advertiser. This tool has bidding features that you do not mean.

Before using Google Keyword Planner, you have to create your account.

How do I create an account in Google Keyword Planner

You must have a Google Account to use Google Keyword Planner. If you already have one, you can easily find the keyword planner in the account.
Type Google Keyword Planner on Google’s address bar and a page will open to you.

1. You have to click on the first link at the top. This page will open when clicked.

2. Now, click on “Start now” an option above right corner.

3. There will be two choices at the top right hand there, a sign-up and a create account. Click on Create Account. This page will open when clicked.

4. Enter an email in the first box and enter the URL of your website in the other. URL will be something like this {https://indiatechmoney.com/}. Then click on yes and no to yes. Your account created.

How to keyword research from Google Keyword Planner

1. Now you log in to Google AdWords Account then click on the above tools option; you will see the option of the keyword planner. Click on that option.

2. Then a page will open something like this where there are some options.

3. Click on {search for new keywords, a website, or category} at the top and type keyword here, suppose you want to know the keywords of Yoga.

4. Do not write “Yoga” at the top, write a few particular keywords associated with yoga {long tail keywords} like- what is Yoga? , What are the benefits of yoga?. I am saying that because if I write yoga, the most competing keywords in Yoga will come in the list which will be very difficult to get on the first page of google.

5. Then write your website’s URL in the next {your landing page}. By the way, this option meant for those who use AdWords, but you can get top keywords by putting a link to your site.

6. The next option is {your product category}. It allows you to find keywords that you might miss without it. In this, you have to type in the keyword category as Yoga is in the health category.
7. After filling all the three options, now the turn of the Targeting audience. In the Targeting option, you have to write first that the name of the country you are targeting like India or America or China or Australia and so forth.

If you are targeting the whole world, then let the first remain empty. In another option, write language like Hindi or English or Bengali or Marathi and so forth. If you are targeting China, then write Chinese in the language. Next, there is the “negative keywords” option. It is for AdWords lovers, leave it empty.

8. The date range shows you how many hours to find the searches. As I want to know the searches of Yoga from 2015-2016, I will not run that option, but if I only write one month such as February for February 2015 – February 2015 and if there are a few months to find out, from February 2015 to December 2015 l It shows us some specific time searches.

9. Now come to customize your search. With this option, you can prevent those keywords from occurring in the list, which you do not want to be those keywords which can search for 1000 or 2000 months. You can click on at first to write that you need at least how many searchable keywords.

10. How much you want CPC or Bid in the suggested bid, they write like above  $5  or $10.

11. Ad impr. Share: It is for those who use AdWords. Leave it to you.

12. Keyword options: If you want to find some more keywords that are too far away or more related to the topic, then use it. According to me, you leave it as it is.

13. Keywords to Include: In this option, you have to write the word that you want in every keyword like I want yoga word in every keyword.

14. Get search volume data and trends: This option has the advantage of when you already have a list of some keywords, and you want to know the months’ search of those keywords. Just put it on the keywords box and click on the submit.

15. Multiply keyword lists to get new keyword ideas: In this, Google Keyword Planner combines many keywords. Although these keywords are mostly something weird, sometimes some unique keywords are found.

If you are building an “e-commerce” website, then this is very useful for you. Clicking on the new keyword ideas will open two boxes. In the first place, enter the keywords you want and put some keywords related to it in the other. Like yoga in the past, working for weight, getting to fair and the names of some exercise in others. Just click on “Get search volume.” Then a page will open something like this.

16. Now you will be looking at two lists, one will be “Ad group ideas,” and another will be “Keyword ideas.” Most people pay attention only to “keyword ideas” and leave “Ad group ideas,” but you do not repeat this mistake. Clicking on Keyword ideas will show you a page wherein the search terms option you will find the keyword search that you wrote as I wrote how yoga works.

  • Keyword (by relevance): In this, you will find keywords related to the keywords you wrote like, Yoga for reducing abdomen, Yoga of lowering obesity and so forth. Avg. You will find months’ searches in monthly searches, but remember that this does not show the exact search. It is of some range like 2000-5000.
  • Competition: This option tells how many advertisers the advertisers bid on this keyword.
  • Suggestion bid: In the suggested bid, you will find out which keyword you can earn as much as you can.

Now, you know what to write in every option.

Clicking on Keyword ideas gives you keywords, but also look at ad group ideas. Click on Ad group ideas where you find some excellent ideas and keywords related to the keyword below the ad group relevance, here are the unique keywords that are not available on keyword ideas.

Now you might be thinking about what keywords you chose. There is also a way to do this.

First of all, look at the keywords whose monthly searches are too much, but yes it is also significant to know whether it is easy to put that keyword on the first page. You can find these from other tools like- SEMrush or Ahrefs.

You know the Google Keyword Planner will tell you about the searches between two times, but that is also very useful. You can do another thing by right-clicking on the keyword you want to know and click on “add to plan.”

Then click on the right side “Review plan,” and you will find the bid of most advertisers on your keyword. It will be another option, “impressions,” click on it and multiply the searches that will be done by 30, you will get similar signatures.

After reading these posts, you have to write a post on that keyword. Hopefully, you know now that how to use Google Keyword Planner.
